When posing for a portrait at age 6, Deanna Beaujot felt the magically creative process of rendering. It awoke her visual direction towards observation.

Deanna attended The National Academy of Fine Arts in Argentina. When years later she took a watercolour class through the City of Calgary in 1999, she resolved the focus: Watercolour and Portraiture.

She then took classes at Alberta Collage of Art, which kept the artist within her engaged till she was able to pursue daily practice.

Presently being fully immersed in studio time and exhibiting, marks a new chapter, making it an exciting and fulfilling time in her life.

The Federation of Canadian Artists (Vancouver) awarded Signature Status – AFCA – to Deanna Beaujot in 2018. Her paintings capture interactions between people and their expressions. Florals are treated like portraits, engaging the viewer.
